After the exchange of ideas of the CARDIKARST team dedicated to the design of the new modular meteorological station, a prototype was made. The station consists of a logger to which sensors are connected that enable measurement of temperature and relative air humidity, direction and speed of air flow, and CO2 concentration. Considering the peculiarities of the locations where the measurements will be performed, power supply is provided by powerful batteries. One of the goals of the CARDIKARST project is to develop affordable measuring devices that will enable the creation of a network of measuring stations in order to collect as much data as possible in as many locations as possible.
After our partner Iztok Miklavčič (Pileus company) presented us with the technical and software solutions of the new station, we installed the station at the location in Postojnska jama. Our station is located near a permanent measuring point. The goal is to test and compare the results (precision, accuracy, durability) in comparison with existing precision measuring equipment developed by the Meis company.
