During the 2-day fieldtrip 18.-19. 4. 2023. the team of cavers Nenad Buzjak, Dino Grozić, Lovel Kukuljan (CARDIKARST & Karsterra) & Marko Danilović (Cave park Grabovača) installed 9 new dataloggers in Samograd cave. The loggers will collect data about cave air temperature and relative humidity. Unlike the existing network of loggers that have been collecting data along the bottom of the passage for three years, the new set of loggers are placed to detect variations at different heights along the cave. The highest location is 30 m above the bottom of the 3rd chamber.
First results already showing nice vertical air temperature stratification and confirm our assumptions about the distribution and flow of air in the cave.
