The CARDIKARST project was presented with a poster presentation to the participants of the 8th Croatian Geographical Congress. The congress is held every four years and gathers geographers and scientists dealing with related sciences. This year, the congress is being held in Malinska on the island of Krk from October 4 to 6. Croatian geographers have been active in geomorphological, geological, speleological and hydrological karst research since the 19th century, from the beginning of organized geography. In addition, they made a significant contribution to demographic research and the economic revitalization of karst areas. This is a jubilee year for Croatian geography, as the congress marks the 140th anniversary of the establishment of geography at the University of Zagreb.
Our team member prof. Neven Bočić introduced the interested participants to the goals, implementation and results so far at research locations in Slovenia and Croatia.
