In Postojna, Slovenia, the CARDIKARST project was presented on June 17, 2024, at the international scientific conference 31st International Karstological School “Classical Karst”: Data Acquisition and Analysis in Karst Systems. The conference is organized by the Karst Research Institute (IZRK ZRC SAZU). Dalibor Paar delivered a lecture titled “Challenges of Non-Periodic Behavior in Cave Climate and Other Karst Processes Due to Climate Change” (Dalibor Paar, Nenad Buzjak, Neven Bočić, Franci Gabrovšek, Aurel Persoiu & Christos Pennos). During the presentation, the project objectives were highlighted, and the current results of measurements in the Samograd and Provala caves using instruments and methods developed through the project were presented. It was emphasized that continuous data collection in caves is crucial for understanding current and past karst processes. New data collection strategies are needed due to climate change and extreme weather events.
